We curate and pack every MysteryKart order by hand within hours of payment confirmation. This narrow window gives us a short, well-defined opportunity to honour customer-initiated cancellations. This policy explains exactly when an order can be cancelled, how to raise a request, and how refunds are processed for approved cancellations.
1. Self-service cancellation window
- Customer-initiated cancellation requests must be raised within twelve (12) hours of successful payment confirmation.
- The 12-hour timer begins the moment our system records a successful payment against your order. The timestamp shown on your order confirmation email is the reference clock.
- Cancellation requests received within the 12-hour window will be honoured provided the order has not already entered the packing stage. Once a curator picks the order, the cancellation window is deemed closed even if 12 hours have not elapsed.
2. After the 12-hour window
- Orders may not be cancelled after 12 hours from successful payment confirmation, nor after they have entered the packing or dispatch stage — whichever happens first.
- Owing to the bespoke, curated and surprise nature of mystery boxes, all sales become final once packing has begun or 12 hours have lapsed.
- Requests received after this point may be considered on a strictly discretionary, case-by-case basis only — we are under no obligation to entertain them.
3. How to raise a cancellation request
- Send an email to mysterykartsupport@gmail.com from your registered email address.
- Subject line must be exactly: "Cancel order <ORDER_ID>" — replace <ORDER_ID> with the alphanumeric order id from your confirmation email.
- We acknowledge cancellation emails within 2 working hours during business hours (10:00 – 19:00 IST, Monday to Saturday).
- Cancellation requests raised through any other channel (WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Twitter/X, phone calls) are not formally tracked and may be missed. The support email is the only valid channel.
4. Refunds for approved cancellations
- Once an order cancellation is approved, the full amount paid (including shipping charges, if any) is refunded to the original payment method.
- Refunds are initiated within 24 working hours of approval. The amount typically reflects in your bank or card statement within 5 to 7 working days, depending on your bank’s processing speed.
- Refunds against UPI / wallet payments usually reflect faster (1 to 3 working days). Refunds against credit cards may take up to 7 working days.
- No partial cancellation of an order is permitted — only a full-order cancellation is supported.
5. Cancellations initiated by us
- MysteryKart reserves the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion in cases including but not limited to suspected fraud or chargeback abuse, pricing errors, sudden stock unavailability, non-serviceable shipping pin code, repeated failed deliveries, or violation of our Terms & Conditions.
- When we initiate a cancellation, the full amount paid will be refunded to the original payment method within the same timelines as customer-initiated cancellations. You will be notified by email with the reason for the cancellation.
